The Wedding Banquet

Matthew 22:1-14
The Wedding Banquet - Matthew 22:1-14 | Bible Hunger

"For many are called, but few chosen.”" (Matthew 22:14)

Called vs. Chosen

God's invitation is open to all (the "bad and good" found on the streets). However, acceptance requires transformation. The "wedding clothes" represent the righteousness provided by God.

To enter the King's feast but refuse His provision (the garment) is an insult. We cannot come to God on our own terms, only on His.

Key Lesson: Salvation is a free invitation, but it requires us to put on the righteousness of Christ. We cannot trust in our own merits.
