The Two Debtors

Luke 7:41-43
The Two Debtors - Luke 7:41-43 | Bible Hunger

"Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But one to whom little is forgiven, loves little.”" (Luke 7:47)

Love Responds to Grace

Jesus told this to Simon the Pharisee, who judged a sinful woman for washing Jesus' feet. Simon thought he was righteous and needed little forgiveness.

The woman knew the depth of her sin and the magnitude of the grace she received. Her extravagant love was a response to extravagant forgiveness.

Key Lesson: Those who realize the depth of their sin understand the greatness of God's grace and love Him more passionately.
