The Rich Fool

Luke 12:13-21
The Rich Fool - Luke 12:13-21 | Bible Hunger

"“But God said to him, ‘You foolish one, tonight your soul is required of you. The things which you have prepared—whose will they be?’" (Luke 12:20)

Wealth vs. Soul

This man's land yielded a plentiful crop. His only thought was, "What shall I do? I will build bigger barns. I will say to my soul, take life easy."

He left God completely out of the equation. He thought he owned his life and his wealth, but he was merely a steward. He prepared for retirement on earth but made no preparation for eternity.

Key Lesson: Life does not consist in an abundance of possessions. Do not store up treasures on earth while being not rich toward God.
