The Friend at Midnight

Luke 11:5-8
The Friend at Midnight - Luke 11:5-8 | Bible Hunger

"I tell you, although he will not rise and give it to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence, he will get up and give him as many as he needs." (Luke 11:8)

Audacious Prayer

Jesus used this parable after teaching the Lord's Prayer. If a grumpy, sleeping neighbor yields to persistence, how much more will our loving Heavenly Father answer our requests?

The term "shameless audacity" implies a boldness that doesn't care about propriety or timing. We are invited to disturb heaven with our prayers.

Key Lesson: Be persistent and bold in prayer. God is not annoyed by our asking; He delights in our dependence.
