The Lowest Seat - Luke 14:7-11 | Bible Hunger

"For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”" (Luke 14:11)

The Virtue of Humility

In Jesus' day, social status was everything. People scrambled for the best seats to be seen as important. Jesus taught a counter-cultural truth: seek the lowest place.

If you exalt yourself, you risk public humiliation. If you humble yourself, God (the Host) will honor you in due time.

Key Lesson: True honor comes from God, not from grabbing power or status. Humility is the path to exaltation in God's Kingdom.
