The Withered Fig Tree

Matthew 21:18-22
The Withered Fig Tree - Matthew 21:18-22 | Bible Hunger

"Seeing a fig tree by the road, he came to it, and found nothing on it but leaves. He said to it, “Let there be no fruit from you forever!” Immediately the fig tree withered away." (Matthew 21:19)

Fruitless Appearance

The tree had leaves (appearence of life) but no fruit. This was a prophetic act warning against spiritual hypocrisy—looking religious but lacking true fruit. It also demonstrated the incredible power of faith-filled words.

Key Lesson: God looks for fruit, not just leaves. Faith has the power to remove obstacles and judge unfruitfulness.
