Healing at the Pool of Bethesda

John 5:1-15
Healing at the Pool of Bethesda - John 5:1-15 | Bible Hunger

"Jesus said to him, “Arise, take up your mat, and walk.” Immediately, the man was made well, and took up his mat and walked. Now it was the Sabbath on that day." (John 5:8-9)

Power Over Time and Tradition

For 38 years, this man waited for a miracle from the "stirring of the water." Jesus bypassed the superstition and the long wait, healing him instantly. Doing this on the Sabbath challenged the religious leaders' legalism.

Key Lesson: Jesus is the source of healing, not rituals or places. He offers restoration even when hope seems lost for decades.
