Man with Dropsy

Luke 14:1-6
Man with Dropsy - Luke 14:1-6 | Bible Hunger

"But they were silent. He took him, and healed him, and let him go. He answered them, “Which of you, if your son or an ox fell into a well, wouldn’t immediately pull him out on a Sabbath day?”" (Luke 14:4-5)

Law vs. Love

The Pharisees watched closely to see if He would 'break' the Sabbath. Jesus exposed their hypocrisy—they would save their own property on the Sabbath, but criticized saving a human life. He acted out of pure mercy.

Key Lesson: Doing good and showing mercy is always lawful and right in God's eyes.
